History of Hallsworth House
Since our inception, we have enjoyed viewing “millions of smiles,” or at least it seems like that many.
We began operations in February of 1990. Over the years, we have been blessed with many great memories. Memories of great staff and even better residents. At one time, we ran 3 different facilities and now are at one. The first facility in North Charleroi was started with 19 residents. Three years later we opened our second facility in Monessen. Later, in 1995, we enlarged our North Charleroi facility to 28 beds. In the year 2000, we had a very proud and defining moment when we had our grand opening for the newly built Grand Boulevard, Monessen site. This facility was built all on one floor and custom-tailored to meet our residents’ needs; it housed a maximum of 31 residents.
With the completion of our Independence Wing, our capacity became 55. The closure of our first facility occurred at the same time we opened the new addition. Closing our first facility in N. Charleroi was a very difficult decision but has allowed us to focus and concentrate on one building and all of our residents under one roof. This, over the long haul, will be the best for all of those we care for.
In 2014, our suite section was completed. This area has very large rooms, a private shower, a small kitchenette, and individually controlled heat and air. This area only has 8 bedrooms, a living and dining room, and is very comfy and cozy!
Our Facility
You can feel safe when you come and stay with us. For Fire Safety, we have a state-of-the-art Sprinkler System that provides comfort and peace of mind. We also have taken other measures to protect our residents from fire as well. Special construction measures have been taken to separate each wing, as well as each hallway in every wing, from a fire.
Our facility is licensed by the state of Pennsylvania to provide residents with comfort and peace of mind. The home-like environment that we provide can make your stay worthwhile.
